This stunning region offers visitors a true Swiss experience with crystal clear lakes, imposing mountains, beautiful scenery and lush meadows. There are numerous historic cities and towns to visit, each with their own particular character and places of interest. Our family run hotel is centrally located in the small alpine town of Aeschi bei Spiez, a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Day 1 Short Channel crossing. Overnight in the Metz area.
Day 2 Travel southwards through France, crossing the border into Switzerland. Arrive into Aeschi bei Spiez for a 5 night stay.
Day 3 A day at leisure to enjoy the town and explore the hotel and surroundings.
Day 4 Full day excursion to the elegant resort of Interlaken. Built on a narrow valley between the two lakes of Brienz and Thun, the setting is beautiful. Free time to explore the historic centre. Continue to the alpine town of Grindelwald, famed for its magnificent views of the surrounding peaks, not least the Eiger. The Jungfrau Railway operates from here and a trip is highly recommended.
Day 5 A day to the beautiful medieval town of Thun. Located on Lake Thunersee, there is plenty to visit here including the hilltop castle, the two-storey shopping streets, lake cruise and the many riverside cafes.
Day 6 An excursion across the Brunig Pass to Lucerne. Free time to discover this lovely city including the wonderful historic centre, the Lion Monument, the long promenade and the elegant shops. Return to the hotel via the town Meiringen, where Sherlock Holmes reputedly met his death.
Day 7 Leave the hotel and travel through Switzerland and into France for overnight stay near Metz.
Day 8 Short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
All tours are tailored to your requirements and can be adapted for travel by coach and/or air as you prefer
