Day 1 Travel to the hotel in Kent.
Day 2 Begin the day at the Historic Dockyard Chatham. With a history that spans from the Spanish Armada to the Falklands Crisis and more recently as a set for Call the Midwife, this is a fascinating visit. Continue to Rochester, famous for its links to Charles Dickens. Explore attractions such as Restoration House, the Guildhall Museum and the Cathedral. Admissions can be included for an additional cost.
Day 3 First stop today is the historic town of Canterbury, with time at leisure to explore the historic architecture and winding lanes and streets of the city. Admission to the famous Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury Tales Museum can be arranged for an additional cost. This afternoon, visit Tenterden Vineyard, home to the award winning Chapel Down Winery. A guided tour shows visitors the wine making process before finishing with a tasting of the produce. The perfect way to round off the tour!
Day 4 Visit Down House, Charles Darwin's home. See the study where he wrote 'On the Origin of Species' and stroll through the gardens that inspired the great man. In the afternoon head to Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. The splendid rooms and award winning gardens boast over 700 years of history making this a memorable visit at any time of year.
Day 5 Homeward journey.
