Mackintosh House

Glasgow and Edinburgh, Arts and Crafts

In Scotland, the Arts and Crafts movement has become synonymous with Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a young architect, influenced by the ideas of Morris and Ruskin. Together with his wife Margaret, the Mackintoshes influenced the burgeoning Modernist movement that swept the world. This tour takes in many of the most important sights as well as time in Edinburgh where another of the movement’s leading lights, Phoebe Anna Traquair, was at work.

Willow Tea Rooms • Hill House • St Mary’s Cathedral • Kelvingrove Gallery • Mackintosh House
