Our tour explores three unique countries, rich in history, old and new. Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia are magical destinations which offer a diverse and authentic Asian experience. Flying between major cities allows more time to delve deeper into each fascinating destination. Our tour includes cities, temples, hill tribes, cruises and floating markets, to name but some of the highlights. Accommodation is generally in Western standard hotels, and the tour can be tailor-made to focus on one, two or all three of these countries.

Day 1 Fly overnight from London to Bangkok, Thailand.
Day 2 Morning flight to Vientiane, capital of Laos, and an afternoon city tour including the most significant Wats and temples.
Day 3 Fly to Luang Prabang in the morning and tour this highlight of Laos in the afternoon. The tour includes the shrine of Wat Aham and the gilded stupa atop Mount Phousi where you watch the sun set over the Mekong River. Evening visit to the Street Night Market.
Day 4 Full day excursion to visit the waterfalls of Khouang Sy, passing through tropical vegetation and stopping at H'Mong and Khmu hill tribal villages.
Day 5 Full day cruise on the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Cave, mysteriously packed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. The boat stops at a village to taste locally fermented rice wine and another, known for its hand weaving.
Day 6 Morning tour of the former Royal Palace, now a museum, before flying to Hanoi in Vietnam.
Day 7 Full day city tour including the House of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show and experience a rickshaw ride through the crowded streets.
Day 8 During the day, cruise amongst the stunning limestone Karst scenery of Halong Bay, visiting a floating village and then spending the night on board your boat.
Day 9 Breakfast and optional Tai Chi lesson aboard your boat before a further morning cruise. Afternoon flight to Danang and a short transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An.
Day 10 Morning guided tour of Hoi An, a beautiful town of canals, created by 17th century traders and renowned for its textiles, art and ambience. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 11 Day at leisure
Day 12 Drive to the historic Imperial City of Hue, via the Marble Mountain. Afternoon tour of the Imperial Citadel and the palaces of the former Nguyen Kings of Vietnam.
Day 13 Morning cruise by traditional dragon boat on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Afternoon flight to Saigon.
Day 14 Morning excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, used by Viet Cong fighters in the Vietnam War. Afternoon city tour in Saigon, including the War Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.
Day 15 Travel into the Mekong Delta for a boat cruise to the Cai Be floating market. Explore the local cottage industries and spend the night at a local village homestay (basic accommodation) in the delta.
Day 16 Morning drive to Can Tho and cruise on a wooden junk through the busiest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Weave through hundreds of small boats laden with fruit and vegetable before continuing to the hotel in the delta town of Chau Doc.
Day 17 Travel by boat up the Mekong River to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Visit the Russian Markets in the afternoon.
Day 18 Full day tour of Phnom Penh, the Cheung Ek "Killing Fields" and the Genocide Museum. Short evening flight to Seam Reap.
Day 19 Full day guided tour of the temples including a Krayan, Banteay Kdey and Tap Prohm. Full afternoon exploring the mighty Angkor Wat.
Day 20 Full day guided tour of Bayon, Angkor Thom, Baksei and Baphuon Temples. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 21 and 22 Fly from Seam Reap to Bangkok where you change plane and fly overnight back to the UK.

Mixture of 4 star hotels with one night at a basic homestay in the Mekong Delta and one night aboard a boat in Halong Bay. Full details of the hotels will be provided with your quotation.
