Normandy's Coast and Monet's Giverny
Our hotel is found at Pont-l'Évêque, only a short drive from Honfleur, Deauville and the wonderful flower coast. This area is famous not only for its cider and calvados but also for its beautiful landscape and vibrant history. Tour highlights can include Honfleur, the D-Day Beaches, Rouen, Caen and Monet's Garden at Giverny. We include a Calvados distillery visit and tasting.
The Flower Coast • Honfleur • Monet's Giverny • Rouen • Le Touquet
Day 1 Channel crossing to Calais and then south to Normandy for a 3 night stay. If time allows make a stop in Le Touquet en-route.
Day 2 A day in Rouen, taking time to explore the cobbled streets in the old town and the market place where Joan of Arc met her fate. Return to the hotel via the Flower Coast and with a possible stop in Honfleur or Deauville.
Day 3 An excursion to Vernon to visit Monet's famous garden at Giverny (closed Mondays and between 1 Nov and 31 Mar). See the wonderful house and beautiful gardens that remain a magnet for art and garden lovers throughout the world. In the afternoon we include a Calvados distillery visit with tasting.
Day 4 Return to the UK. Possible stops en-route include Abbeville or Boulogne sur Mer.
