Following the outstanding success of the Olympic Games in 2012, east London has much to offer visitors to this fascinating area. Our tour contrasts the exciting developments at the Queen Elizabeth Park with the history of the docklands area and the beautiful buildings in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Day 1 Travel to the hotel in Essex for a 3 night stay.
Day 2 A full day guided tour of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the docklands area. Hear about the superb redevelopment of the Stratford region following the events of 2012 and explore the city's newest park. In 2014 the Orbit, Britain's tallest structure, is opening for visitors and admission can be included for an additional charge. Alternatively, why not add an exciting trip in a cable car across the River Thames?
Day 3 Excursion to Royal Greenwich, which became a royal borough following the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Visit the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre at the Royal Naval College. It tells the story of Maritime Greenwich and its links to Henry VIII. There is a micro brewery on the site of the Royal Hospital's 1717 brewhouse. Visitors can also explore the fascinating Painted Hall and Chapel. Admission to the recently restored Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, the National Maritime Museum or the Queens House can also be included for an additional charge.
Day 4 Homeward journey with a recommended visit to RAF Hendon en route.
