As the capital of historic Bohemia, it sat at the centre of Europe and was, at times, the seat of power for the Holy Roman Empire ensuring that every street has a story to tell. The splendid Charles Bridge over the River Vltava, is overlooked by the Prague Castle district. Trams wind their way to every corner of the historic cobbled streets in the Old Town. King Wenceslas Square and the Jewish Quarter offer world charm, while world class museums combine to ensure a heady mix awaits those interested in art, architecture, culture and history.
