Lowveld • Blyde River Canyon • Swaziland • Cape Town • Camps Bay • Table Mountain
Day 1 Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day2 Arrive at Johannesburg airport where you will meet your guide to drive to Mpumalanga in the subtropical Lowveld. Enjoy a cultural evening hosted in Shangaan Cultural Village, with song and dance relating the story of the Shangana people.
Day 3 Today, drive from Mpumalanga to the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, one of the wonders of Africa. Continue to the Kapama Private Game Reserve and enjoy a safari tour before dinner.
Day 4 Full day game viewing with experienced park rangers.
Day 5 Drive to the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland, a former British Protectorate, now ruled by King MsWati III. Share a Swazi cultural performance before visiting the Swaziland National Museum.
Day 6 After breakfast, depart Swaziland and head for the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rich in the history of the San people, view rock shelters with cave paintings.
Day 7 Spend the day exploring the KwaZulu-Natal nature reserve in the world famous Drakensberg Amphitheatre, a rock wall five kilometres long and 500 metres high. The Thukela River cascades down the face of the amphitheatre, forming one of the highest waterfalls in the world.
Day 8 Today, relive the 2nd Anglo-Boer War, visiting the site of the Battle of Spionenkop. This was the "longest, costliest, bloodiest and most humiliating war" that Britain fought in the 19th century. The high quality guides provide insightful and sensitively led tours.
Day 9 Drive to Johannesburg and fly west to Cape Town. Transfer to the hotel close to the V&A Waterfront Complex.
Day 10 Full day tour to Cape Point, including Camps Bay, the 12 Apostles peaks of Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, baboons, Jackass penguins and finally Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Day 11 Full day tour of Cape Town, including taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.
Day 12 Transfer to Cape Town airport for your overnight flight home.
Day 13 Arrive in London.

All hotels have an excellent location and are of 4 star standard. Bedrooms have air conditioning. Buffet breakfast is included and dinner is either with a 3 course menu or a buffet. Hotel descriptions will be included with quotations.
