Portugal and Spain

Situated at the very edge of Western Europe, and protected from the rest of the continent by the mountains of the Pyrenees, Spain and Portugal form the majority of the Iberian Peninsula.

With strong cultural identities both offer inspiring and authentic itineraries for travellers to this region, whether visiting one country or both. Though neighbours, they differ immensely from one another in their histories, language and traditions. Both offer the possibility to visit outlying islands too, such as Madeira and the Balearics to add to the overall trip experience. Tour themes for this area can include pilgrimage trails, castles and palaces, food and drink trails, walking tours and architecture.

Though at first glance their location may seem a little isolated, with excellent road, ferry and flight links, other regions of Europe are easily accessible. Not forgetting that Morocco is also on their doorstep.
