Day 1 Travel by coach and ferry to Dublin for a two night stay. As an introduction to Dublin, take a guided walking tour featuring sites related to the 1916 Rising, learn about this historic event. The tour provides a background to the War of Independence, partition and the Good Friday Agreement.

Day 2 Visit Kilmainham Gaol, home to political prisoners between the 1780s and the 1920s. Learn of the heroic and tragic events leading to Ireland's emergence as a modern nation. Continue to Croke Park Stadium and the Gaelic Athletic Association Museum where a guided tour of the stadium includes details of the origins of the ancient sport of hurling and the creation of the Gaelic Athletic Association during the Gaelic Revival and its links with revolutionary nationalism. Finish with a tour Glasnevin Cemetery and its museum visiting the final resting places of the men and women who helped shape Irish history including Daniel O'Connell, Michael Collins, Eamon DeValera, Charles Stewart Parnell, and Countess Marcievicz.

Day 3 Take the early ferry from Dublin and return home by coach.
