Iceland

Iceland is a unique and magical destination offering a combination of breathtaking landscapes made up of volcanoes, waterfalls glaciers, lava fields and fjords. Iceland also has a vibrant culture and an abundance of history with the country's Viking heritage. Our tour will take us on a journey through the major geographical sites. Highlights include a full day exploring the Laki Fissures, Skaftafell National Park and Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Additional highlights include the Dettifoss waterfalls, a day visit by ferry to Heimary and the Westermann Islands, views of active geysers, hot springs and of course a close encounter with the Mid-Atlantic ridge.

Day 1 Fly from the UK and transfer to the hotel. Excursions to the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavík.

Day 2 Full day Golden Circle tour via Thingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss.

Day 3 Excursion by coach to Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, the Eyjafjallajökull visitors center and Vík.

Day 4 Excursion by coach to Reynisfjara black sand beach, Glacier Hike and Reykjavík.

Day 5 Transfer to Reykjavík – Keflavík airport for the return flight to the UK.
