Normandy and the D-Day Landings

From the Norman invasion of England in 1066 to the D-Day landings of 1944, Normandy has played an important role in European history. The rich and often brutal history of Normandy is brought to life by our tour guide with visits to the Bayeux Tapestry and to war cemeteries and memorials along the D-Day beaches. Today the beaches are places of solemn pilgrimage to honour the bravery of the fallen soldiers.
