Day 1 Channel crossing. Overnight in Metz area.
Day 2 Travel into Austria via the impressive Fern Pass and join the Inn Valley before climbing up to Igls for a 5 night stay.
Day 3 A day at leisure in Igls, with lunch included at the hotel. Explore the village, take a cable car into the mountains or travel to nearby Innsbruck. Those wishing for a quiet day can enjoy the swimming pool and courtyard garden.
Day 4 A local excursion to nearby Innsbruck, 'Capital of the Tyrol'. See the city’s highlights including the Golden Roof, Imperial Palace and Hofkirche. A guided walking tour is recommended to gain the most from the visit. Free time to explore at leisure before returning to Igls.
Day 5 Travel to Achensee, the Tyrol’s largest lake and a sparkling jewel in the heart of the Rofan Alps. Board the Achensee Cog Railway at Jenbach, the world's oldest train of its kind, and take the leisurely journey to Seespitz. Free time in Pertisau before boarding the boat for a cruise on the lake, taking in the pretty villages dotted along the shoreline. Meet the coach and return to Igls.
Day 6 An excursion through the impressive Ziller Valley, to the vibrant town of Mayrhofen. Time here to discover the many shops and cafes, or enjoy a cable car ride to the Zillertal Mountains. Enjoy the journey back through the valley to Igls.
Day 7 Leave Austria and stop for dinner and an overnight stay in the Metz area.
Day 8 Short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
