Day 1 Short Channel crossing to France and on to Houffalize for a 4 night stay.
Day 2 Enjoy a day at La Roche en Ardenne. This pretty riverside town has a lovely position on a bend of the River Ourthe. Popular with visitors, the town has parks, a castle and pavement cafes. Complete the day with a visit to the Battle of Ardennes Museum which charts the history of the town and region during WWII.
Day 3 A morning visit to historic Mariembourg with free time to explore the town. Board the train of the Three Valleys Steam Railway for a one way journey through the countryside to Treignes. On arrival, visit the Steam Railway Museum which houses trains spanning 130 years.
Day 4 Today visit the charming town of Durbuy, known as the ‘smallest city in the world’. Stroll the cobbled streets of the compact centre, lined with historic timber framed houses. There is much to see including the castle, church and monastery, and the Cornmarket. Finish the day with a visit to the impressive Topiary Park.
Day 5 Depart for Calais and the short Channel crossing.
