Based on the outskirts of Ghent, our hotel is a great location from which to explore the rich past, attractions and architecture of both this city and its neighbour, Antwerp. Known throughout mediaeval history for their importance as trading ports, the cities grew on this wealth which is still evident today.

Day 1 Short Channel crossing. Arrive in Ghent for a 3 night stay.

Day 2 A full day in Ghent to discover this charming city. Stroll through the historic mediaeval old town with its cobbled streets and cross bridges over it’s many waterways. The city is home to world renowned museums, exceptional artwork, shops and pavement cafes where a local beer can be enjoyed. A canal cruise is included for this day.

Day 3 A full day in vibrant Antwerp. Explore the mediaeval centre which includes Rubens' House, the Market Square and numerous museums. Often voted the most beautiful in the world, a visit to the stunning Central Railway Station is highly recommended. The city’s cobbled streets are full of boutique shops, cafes and chocolate makers. It has a long association with diamonds and the included tour of a factory gives an insight into this dazzling world.

Day 4 Travel to Calais for the short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
