Dresden… Beauty Restored

Dresden, the 800-year-old capital of Saxony, is amongst the cream of Europe's cultural cities. A visit offers the chance to explore its historic centre, whose monuments include the Church of Our Lady, now restored to its former glory. Take the opportunity to enjoy an outstanding concert or a boat trip with the world's oldest fleet of paddle steamers – and you too will fall in love with the 'Florence on the Elbe'.

Day 1 Fly from the UK to Berlin and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 Morning tour of Dresden by coach and on foot. Afternoon boat trip to Pillnitz including coffee and cake on board. Admission to Pillnitz Park and Gardens before returning to Dresden by coach.

Day 3 Morning admission and guided tour of the Royal Palace and admission to the Historic Green Vault (Treasure Chamber) including audio guide followed by an afternoon of independent sightseeing in Dresden.

Day 4 A full day excursion by coach including a special guided tour of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory; a guided walking tour of Meissen; and a guided wine tour, including tasting, at Wackerbarth Castle.

Day 5 Travel by coach to Radebeul for a steam train journey from Lößnitzgrundbahn to Moritzburg and a guided tour of Moritzburg Hunting Lodge. Return to Dresden for an afternoon of independent sightseeing before a farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 6 Transfer to Berlin for the return flight to the UK.
