Day 1 Channel crossing and overnight in Belgium.
Day 2 Into Germany and on to Leipzig for dinner.
Day 3 A full day in Leipzig with an included guided tour 'in the footsteps of the Peaceful Revolution'. During the tour see St Nicholas Church and other sites associated with the momentous events of 1989. We then include the Stasi Museum, the 'Runde Eck'. Our guided tour will help uncover the history of this sinister organisation.
Day 4 Full day to Dresden. Lying on the Elbe, the city was badly damaged during WWII. Now reconstructed, many historic buildings have now been restored to their former glory. An optional scenic boat trip can be arranged today.
Day 5 Excursion to Colditz, an historic town dating back to the middle ages. High above the village is the famous castle that was used as a prisoner of war camp in World War II. We include entrance and a guided tour.
Day 6 Depart Leipzig. Dinner and overnight in Belgium.
Day 7 Channel crossing and home.
