Day 1 Channel crossing. Overnight Belgium.
Day 2 Into Germany, past Dortmund and on to Braunlage for a 4 night stay.
Day 3 Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Goslar. We suggest a guided walking tour followed by time at leisure to explore the grand squares and cobbled streets.
Day 4 A day in wonderful Wernigerode, a mediaeval town with many half timbered houses. See the old historic centre, 16th century square and Baroque Town Hall. Return to Braunlage in the afternoon.
Day 5 Start with a scenic steam train ride from Alexisbad through the Selketal to Gernrode. Here rejoin the coach and continue to Quedlinburg, a beautifully preserved mediaeval town. Wander the narrow streets and take the opportunity to sample some local bratwurst.
Day 6 Depart Germany and overnight in Belgium.
Day 7 Travel to Calais and homeward Channel crossing.
