Day 1 Short Channel crossing, overnight in the Metz area.
Day 2 Into Switzerland, overnight in Italy.
Day 3 Continue south through the Tuscan Hills to Montecatini Terme for a 5 night stay.
Day 4 At leisure in Montecatini with its shops and cafés, thermal baths and gardens. Montecatini Alto, a wonderful Tuscan hilltop town, is accessible by funicular and worth investigation.
Day 5 Full day to Florence, easily reached either by coach or by scheduled train service from Montecatini. In Florence see the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio or visit one of the famous galleries.
Day 6 Full day to Lucca and Pisa. Lucca, birthplace of Puccini, has well preserved 16th Century walls and narrow medieval streets. Pisa is world famous for its leaning tower and spectacular cathedral.
Day 7 To medieval Siena which boasts a magnificent square as well as a gothic cathedral. Continue to the hilltop town of San Gimignano or for a Chianti vineyard visit.
Day 8 Depart Montecatini for a long yet scenic day travelling north to overnight in the Mulhouse area.
Day 9 Continue to Brussels for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Short Channel crossing and home.
