A Bridge Too Far

Hells Highway is the route that the "Airborne Carpet" was to take to reach Arnhem Bridge, one of the main goals of Operation Market Garden. Staying close to Arnhem our tour uncovers the important sites associated with those events and the German occupation of Holland.

Arnhem • Airborne Museum, Oosterbeek • John Frost Bridge • Amsterdam

Day 1 Channel crossing and on to Holland.

Day 2 A full day excursion around Arnhem, a town forever associated with World War II and Operation Market Garden. First stop at the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek, housed in what was the headquarters of the allied forces during the Battle of Arnhem. Then journey to the nearby Airborne Cemetery. See John Frost Bridge before return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3 Full day to Amsterdam where amongst the multitude of places of interest is the House of Anne Frank.

Day 4 Journey home via Calais.
