Day 1 & 2 Take an overnight cruise-ferry crossing to Holland and travel on to overnight near Bremen.
Day 3 North and into Denmark for a first taste of Scandinavia. Overnight in Hirtshals, overlooking the Skagerrak Sea.
Day 4 Cross to Langesund and immediately encounter the pristine Norwegian scenery. Journey to the Oslo area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 Commence the journey north, via Lillehammer and Dombas to Trondheim, the first capital of Norway.
Day 6 Along Lake Snasavatnet, through 'The Gateway to North Norway' at Majavatn and on to stay at Mo-I-Rana, in 'The Arctic Circle Region'.
Day 7 From Mo-I-Rana it is only a short drive to the Arctic Circle and the Polar Circle Centre, a recommended visitor attraction. You may see herds of reindeer on the fjell before check-in at Bodø for 3 nights.
Day 8 A free day to relax, explore Bodø and enjoy the wonderful Arctic landscape. There is a pretty harbour and a good range of shops, cafés and restaurants.
Day 9 Excursion north through the distinctive arctic landscape and crossing the Mistfjord for a visit to Kjerringoy Old Trading Centre.
Day 10 Spectacular scenic day winding along the western coast, through small fishing villages, and past the Svartisen Glacier. The day includes 2 ferry journeys, one of which crosses the Arctic Circle. Dinner and overnight in Mosjoen, where Sjogata Street, with its traditional wooden houses, is perfect for an evening stroll.
Day 11 Depart Mosjøen and travel south, around Trondheim and on to Oppdal in time for dinner.
Day 12 An early start today for the journey south, across the mighty Sognefjell and across the Sognefjord with many exciting vistas en-route. Finally climb up to Stalheim, arguably one of Europe's most dramatic hotel locations, for a 2 night stay.
Day 13 We recommend the inclusion of the 'Norway in a Nutshell' excursion. The scenic highlights are unsurpassed!
Day 14 Depart Stalheim and travel via Aurlandsdalen, Hol, Gol and Vikersund to arrive in Larvik on Norway's southern coast in time for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay near the harbour.
Day 15 Early morning fast-craft ferry crossing to Denmark. Proceed to the Hamburg area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 16 Travel through Germany, into Holland and on to the North Sea coast for a relaxing overnight crossing to Hull or Harwich.
Day 17 Arrive back in the UK and travel home.
