Poland Explored... Krakôw and Warsaw

This two centre tour takes a journey through both modern and historic Poland. In the capital Warsaw, the history of the country can be appreciated through its varied architecture from modern skyscrapers and soviet blocks, to the historic palaces and old town. The beautiful medieval city of Krakôw is famed for its old centre with Cloth Hall and Jewish Quarter.

Day 1 Short Channel crossing. Overnight in Belgium.

Day 2 Continue into Germany and travel east to the overnight stay near Magdeburg.

Day 3 Today continue in to Poland and the exciting capital Warsaw for a 2 night stay.

Day 4 A full day to discover Warsaw. Our included morning guided tour will highlight the main sites, leaving the afternoon free to explore at leisure.

Day 5 Travel south to Krakôw. On route make a stop in the pretty town of Kazimierz Dolny or visit the Jasna Gora Monastery, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the World. Arrive in Krakôw for a 4 night stay.

Day 6 A morning guided tour of the city centre with the remainder of the day at leisure in Krakôw to discover the many sites including the Cloth Hall and the imposing Wawel Royal Castle.

Day 7 A full day excursions to the lovely resort of Zakopane, in the foothills of the Tatra Mountains. Time at leisure to stroll through the town centre or travel to the mountains via cable car. Special Folklore Dinner included tonight in a central Krakôw restaurant.

Day 8 Travel to Auschwitz. This moving visit includes a guided tour of the camp, which gives a thoughtful account of its history. Return to Krakow mid-afternoon.

Day 9 Leave Poland and travel to Germany for an overnight stay in Dresden.

Day 10 Westwards to Belgium for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11 Short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
