Day 1 Short Channel crossing. Overnight in Reims area.
Day 2 Travel through France and across into Switzerland to the hotel in Yverdon-les-Bains.
Day 3 A day to relax in Yverdon-les-Bains. This picturesque spa town sits on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel with the Jura Mountains as a backdrop. The old town is within an easy walk of the hotel and is dominated by the 13th century castle. There are museums, shops and cafes to explore or take the train to nearby Bern.
Day 4 Take a journey to Lake Geneva and begin with a stop in Lausanne, there is an interesting Olympics Museum to discover as well as a lovely old town. Continue through the UNESCO wine region of Lavaux on to Vevey. This lakeshore town was home to Charlie Chaplin and his former home has recently opened as a museum.
Day 5 Full day excursion around Lake Neuchâtel. Start in the medieval town of Grandson, a member of 'The Most Beautiful Villages in Switzerland'. Time to explore before travelling to the historic town of Neuchâtel. The old town with its cobbled streets and alleyways is overlooked by the impressive castle. Leave the lake to travel to Biel for a visit to the Omega Watch Museum.
Day 6 A scenic day in the Jura Mountains. Visit Orbe, known for its large collection of Roman mosaics. Continue to Romainmôtier, a lovely medieval village looking across the River Nozon. End the day in Sainte-Croix, close to the border with France, considered the birthplace of the music box.
Day 7 Leave Yverdon-Les-Bains and through France and stop for dinner and an overnight stay near Arras.
Day 8 On to Calais for a short Channel crossing.
