Day 1 Fly to Berlin and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Visit Dessau for a guided walking tour. Here, on the Thursday before Easter 1534, Luther offered communion to the community at St Mary's Church. Next stop is Woerlitz Gardens, a UNESCO listed, English style landscaped park. A guided tour is included.
Day 3 Full day excursion to Wittenburg starting with a guided walking tour 'In the footsteps of Luther'. Known as the 'Birthplace of the Reformation', this is where the most important events in the life of Martin Luther took place. Visits include the castle church where Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door, signalling the start of the Reformation, a seminal moment in history. There is also a guided tour of the Luther House and admission to the exhibition 'Luther! 95 Treasures–95 People'.
Day 4 Today's excursion is to Eisleben, Luther's hometown. Born here in 1483, Luther returned to the city often and indeed, it was here where he died in 1546. Included is a guided walking tour, and visits to the houses where he was born and died.
Day 5 Transfer to the airport in Berlin for our return flight to the UK.
