Armenia

The beautiful country of Armenia lies in the highlands surrounding the Biblical mountains of Ararat, upon which Noah's Ark is said to have come to rest after the flood. Bordering Turkey and Georgia, Armenia was the first country in the world to adopt Christianity as the state religion in 301 A.D. Its first churches were founded in the fourth century and it is rich in UNESCO World Heritage Sites dating back to antiquity.
