Day 1 Fly from the UK to Israel and transfer to the hotel in Jerusalem for a three night stay.
Day 2 Visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Explore the Tower of David Museum, showcasing the history of Jerusalem. Continue to the Jewish Quarter and visit the 2,700-year-old Broad Wall, the Herodian Mansions and the Cardo. See the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Second Temple and the Southern Wall excavations. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, site of the crucifixion and tomb of Jesus. Wander through the Old City markets, steeping yourself in the sights, sounds and aromas.
Day 3 Tour the New City of Jerusalem, stopping at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Visit the Israel Museum and discover the mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book.
Day 4 Travel to the Dead Sea and visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then ascend to Massada (via cable car), Herod's magnificent fortress, with its palaces, bathhouses and ramparts. Cross into Jordan and overnight in Wadi Rum.
Day 5 Enjoy an exhilarating Jeep Safari tour with a local Bedouin. Continue to Petra, one of the greatest, UNESCO recognised archaeological sites. Overnight in Petra.
Day 6 Explore the wonders of the ancient city before time at leisure to discover more of Petra. Continue to the Dead Sea for a two night stay.
Day 7 Day at leisure to relax by the Dead Sea.
Day 8 Travel towards Jerash, the 'Pompeii of the East'. Cross back into Israel and continue to the Sea of Galilee. Tour the sites around the lake. Enjoy a boat trip before arriving in Tiberias for a two night stay.
Day 9 Drive to Rosh Hanikra, Israel's northwestern tip, and continue to Akko to see the impressive remains of a Crusader fortress. In the afternoon visit Acre, a historic walled port-city since the Phoenician period and explore the remains of the Crusader town.
Day 10 In Haifa visit the Baha'i gardens and the golden domed Shrine of the Bab. Travel to Megido, the Armageddon of the Bible. Drive along the coastal road to Caesarea before arriving in Tel Aviv for a two night stay.
Day 11 Tour Tel Aviv, visiting the Carmel Markets, Tel Aviv City Hall, Bauhaus centre, Rothschild Boulevard street, and Neve Tzedek, one of Tel Aviv's oldest districts. End the day at the vibrant Tel Aviv port.
Day 12 Transfer to the airport for flight back to the UK.
