Day 1 Fly from London Gatwick to Halifax, a flight of just over six hours. Transfer to your downtown hotel.
Day 2 Enjoy guided tours of both Halifax and Peggy's Cove. Learn about Halifax, the immigration gateway of yesteryear to North America and the safe haven for Titanic survivors. The rustic fishing village of Peggy's Cove is simply captivating, fascinating and beautiful in equal measure.
Day 3 Travel from Halifax to Cape Breton Island - the Scotland of North America – via the Canso Causeway. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to discover the many accomplishments of this genius who made his home on the island.
Day 4 Experience by coach one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America. The Cabot Trail winds around the rocky splendour of Cape Breton's northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy a Whale Watching Boat Tour (weather permitting).
Day 5 Visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site before heading back to Halifax for one last night in the Maritimes.
Day 6 Day at leisure in Halifax followed by a transfer to the airport for your overnight flight.
Day 7 Arrive in London Gatwick around breakfast time.
