Day 1 and 2 Fly overnight from the UK to Uzbekistan and transfer to the hotel.
Day 3 Fly to Urgench and transfer to Khiva. Khiva city tour, an Eastern fairy tale. Narrow streets, carved verandas and doors, majestic minarets and mausoleums, heritage and arts in this city of great treasures.
Day 4 Morning visit to the ruins of the ancient Zoroastrian fortresses Shylpyk-Kala and Toprak-Kala – the capital of Khorezm in the 3rd century. Later return to Khiva for time at leisure.
Day 5 Morning scenic drive to Bukhara, travelling through mysterious red desert 'Kyzyl-Kum', the territory of 'Khorezm'.
Day 6 Visit Holy Bukhara, homeland of the philosophers Ibn Sino (Avicenna) and Hodja Nasriddin. This city is the lively, noisy and luxurious capital of Emirs and the rich.
Day 7 Today we visit more highlights of Bukhara before transferring to the station for the train to Samarkand.
Day 8 A full day city tour of Samarkand.
Day 9 Visit a handmade silk carpet factory, Ulugbek Observatory, excavations and Museum of the ancient city of Afrosiab. Learn about the manufacture of silk paper before transferring to Samarkand Railway Station for the train to Tashkent.
Day 10 Take a Tashkent city tour through the old part of the city visiting the religious complex Khasti Imam and Chorsu market. Continue to the new part of the city and visit Independence Square and Theatre Square.
Day 11 Transfer to the airport and fly back to the UK.
