Day 1 Travel to the hotel in Lincolnshire.
Day 2 Head to Leicester to discover more about Richard III at the newly opened King Richard III Visitor Centre which depicts the controversial life of the King and the even more fascinating story of how his remains were recently uncovered. Take the short trip to Leicester Cathedral to see where he was reinterred in 2015. This afternoon continue to the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and learn how Richard III lost his life and the crown to Henry Tudor.
Day 3 Meet your guide in Sherwood Forest, once a royal hunting forest and the legendary home to the famous outlaw. On then to Nottingham via Rufford where your guide will bring the city to life. Learn how Nottingham was once the world leader in lace making and explore the sites associated with the legend of Robin Hood. Time permitting, visit the Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem which claims to be the oldest Inn In England.
Day 4 The trio of historic cities is completed today when we visit Lincoln. A guide will provide an introductory tour before time at leisure. Explore the Cathedral and Castle with its Magna Carta Vault forming part of the Castle's recent £22 million restoration (admission costs not included). Afterwards, spend time at leisure in the historic market town of Newark. For an additional cost, it is possible to include admission to the newly opened National Civil War Centre. Day 5 Homeward journey.
