Day 1 Travel to Malvern, with a possible en route visit to the historic town of Worcester with its magnificent cathedral where King John was laid to rest.
Day 2 Morning guided tour of Hereford Cathedral, home to both the 1217 “final” Magna Carta and the unique covering letter by King John. The cathedral is also home to the Mappa Mundi, one of the oldest maps in the world. Continue to Hampton Court Gardens before following the “Elgar Route” through the Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside.
Day 3 Morning visit to Symonds Yat for a cruise on the River Wye through the lovely scenery of this renowned beauty spot. This is followed by a break at the Old Court Hotel before continuing south along the River Wye by coach to visit the gothic ruins of Tintern Abbey.
Day 4 Morning panoramic tour of Malvern and the Malvern hills followed by an afternoon with the freedom to explore Malvern further at your own pace perhaps strolling through the Winter Gardens and boutique shops or taking in a matinee at the Festival theatre.
Day 5 Return home by coach.
