Day 1 Travel to your hotel.
Day 2 Begin the day with a visit to the fascinating Historic Dockyard Chatham for a tour of the Ropery. The entertaining tour, with a costumed guide, gives visitors an insight into why rope was so important to the Navy in the Age of Sail. Continue to Rochester, famous for its links to Charles Dickens. Explore attractions such as Restoration House, the Guildhall Museum and the Cathedral. Admissions can be included for an additional charge.
Day 3 Today's highlights include the Castle and Gardens at Penshurst Place and the gardens at Sissinghurst.
Day 4 Visit Canterbury Cathedral, the most important pilgrimage site in England after the murder of Thomas Becket at the behest of King Henry II. Then in the afternoon explore the WWII war rooms at the fortress of Dover Castle.
Day 5 After breakfast drive to Hever Castle, childhood home of Ann Boleyn prior to her being sent to Flanders for her education. Continue to Chartwell, the beloved home of Winston Churchill, but also the house where Henry VIII reputedly stayed while courting Ann Boleyn.
Day 6 Depart for home.
