Day 1 Afternoon ferry crossing and on to your base in County Meath.
Day 2 Causey Farm is our destination this morning. Guests will experience an authentic taste of life on an Irish farm including bread making, sheepdog demonstration and Irish dancing. Following an included hearty lunch, head to nearby Navan for time at leisure, returning to the hotel via Kells, best known as the site of Kells Abbey, from which the Book of Kells takes its name.
Day 3 A full day excursion to Dublin. Enjoy time at leisure to explore this fascinating and charming city that is steeped in history. See Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the iconic H'apenny Bridge and the abundance of museums and galleries. Following time at leisure, we have included a guided tour of Glasnevin Cemetery. Established by legendary Irish statesman Daniel O'Connell in 1832, many a key figure from Irish history has been laid to rest here. The dedicated guides' impeccable story telling ensure that all visitors are enthralled.
Day 4 Venture into the heartlands this morning, to the banks of Tullamore's Grand Canal for a tour and tasting of Tullamore Dew, the legendary Irish Whiskey. The Visitor Centre is housed within the old warehouse and the tour will tell the story of Daniel E. Williams progression from stable boy to distillery manager. This afternoon is at leisure in Trim.
Day 5 Morning ferry crossing and homeward journey.
