Day 1 Travel north for overnight stop in the Gretna area.
Day 2 Morning ferry crossing via Cairnryan to Belfast. Allow free time to explore the city’s highlights, such as City Hall and the historic Crown Liquor Saloon. Alternatively, head south to Carlingford. Slieve Foy is the backdrop to this pretty village, within which it is said that the remains of the giant Finn McCool rest. On then to Enniskillen, your base for 3 nights.
Day 3 Travel north to County Tyrone and the Ulster American Folk Park, which encapsulates life in the late 1800s and early 1900s when many emigrated to America. Explore the Old World area, featuring recreated streets, shops fronts and other buildings from both sides of the Atlantic, whilst costumed demonstrators go about their everyday tasks. This afternoon is at leisure in either the nearby island town of Enniskillen or the ancient city of Armagh, with its blend of culture, cathedrals and charm.
Day 4 Morning visit to Donegal town on the banks of the River Eske. View the carefully restored remains of Donegal Castle and visit the cafes, shops and bars overlooking 'The Diamond' historic marketplace. Continue to Belleek for a guided tour of Ireland’s Oldest Pottery, established in 1857. Visitors can now view all aspects of the production of the famous china.
Day 5 Bid farewell to County Fermanagh and travel south to Navan, County Meath and Causey Farm. Guests will experience an authentic taste of life on an Irish farm including bread making, sheepdog demonstration and Irish dancing. Following an included hearty lunch, depart for time at leisure in the treasure trove that is Trim, or Dublin, before arriving at your overnight hotel.
Day 6 Ferry crossing via Dublin and homeward journey.
