Day 1 Travel to Scotland via Gretna for an overnight stop near Glasgow.
Day 2 Depart for Oban with a recommended stop in Tyndrum before taking the early afternoon ferry to Mull. Soak up some of the magnificent scenery of the island before arriving at the hotel for a 2 night stay.
Day 3 Scenic excursion around Mull including a foot passenger crossing to the legendary Isle of Iona, burial place of 48 ancient Scottish kings. We also recommend a visit to the colourful town of Tobermory to the north of the island.
Day 4 Morning ferry back to Oban continuing south with a recommended stop in Inveraray where a visit to Inveraray Jail living museum can be included for an extra charge. Continue via Loch Lomond to Ayrshire for a 2 night stay at the Riverside Lodge Hotel Irvine, enjoying a welcoming cup of tea or coffee and shortbread on arrival.
Day 5 Full day excursion to the Isle of Arran beginning with an included visit to Brodick Castle. Dramatically set against the backdrop of Goatfell, the grand red sandstone, baronial-style castle has stunning views over Brodick Bay and boasts impressive gardens. We also recommend a visit to the Isle of Arran Distillery where lunch can be arranged for an extra charge. Spend time in Brodick before re-boarding the ferry back to the mainland.
Day 6 Homeward journey.
