Day 1 Travel to Carmarthenshire via the impressive Brecon Beacons.
Day 2 Today is a full day to Tenby, known for a warm atmosphere and fine Victorian houses. Take time to experience the friendly harbour, relax and unwind on one of the three fantastic beaches or simply sit and people watch. For the more adventurous, why not take the twenty minute boat journey to Caldy Island, owned and run by a community of Cistercian monks, open to the public on summer weekdays and Saturdays (crossing is subject to weather and additional cost applies, payable locally).
Day 3 Begin the day at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Nestled in the Tywi Valley, the garden combines themed displays, rolling parkland and secluded woodland. The award winning Great Glasshouse is home to a profusion of rare, fragrant, exotic and even spooky plants. Continue to Carmarthen, one of Wales’ oldest towns, before returning to the hotel. Alternatively, if gardens are your passion, we can include admission to Aberglasney Gardens at an additional cost.
Day 4 Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gower Peninsula and The Mumbles, an area renowned for its sandy beaches. Visit the Gower Heritage Centre in a converted water mill where a guide will join the coach for a tour of the peninsula's highlights before returning for a cream tea or Welsh Cawl and tour of the mill. This afternoon is at leisure in Swansea.
Day 5 Homeward journey.
